Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1 arrived on eligible pixel devices.It has some new exciting features let me share with you in this article.The beta 1 has some bug fixes too.
Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1 New Features
I’ve noticed some new features in this update.The build number of this update-AP11.231020.013.A1.
Screen Recording for Individual apps
We use native screen recording on Android to record something but some of our sensitive data may record and we need to hide or blurr that but with Android 14 beta you can record specific apps only.
There is an option called Record “A Single App”.You need to select the app you want to screen record after that only selected app will be recorded, rest of the activity will be erased and final screen recording will be processed after stopping the recording.
Screencast only specific Apps
Casting or mirroring the phone is the most common things we do with our Android Smartphones.While casting the screen all the activity on our phone will be visible on the TV so to add more privacy Android added this feature where you can select only specific app to appear during cast.Even if you go back from the app the screen will be paused and will resume when you return to that app.
There are some other features too like
App Permissions-Now you can check the microphone and Camera usage right from the shortcut.

Bug fixes-
- Fixed an issue that caused the package manager to crash when installing some apps. (Issue #303849830)
- Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented users from submitting feedback using the Android Beta Feedback app. (Issue #307592531)
- Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented a device from connecting to a 5G network when it was available. (Issue #306294357)
