Google enabled car crash detection feature in India.You atleast need Pixel 4a for this feature to work.Google introduced this feature with Pixel 4 series and it was available in Us but Google enabled this feature in India with 4 other countries too.
What is car crash detection feature?
Car crash detection is a safety feature introduced by Google and it is exclusive to Pixel only.By enabling this feature your pixel detects a car crash and accidents which will alert the emergency services.
Let me clearly explain this feature-When car crash is detected motion sensors in pixel alert and emergency alarm is activated you’ll have 60 seconds timer displayed on the screen if you are safe and nothing happened just tap im okay if something wrong happened and you are unable to respond soon after the timer finishes it alerts emergency services and share you location details to all of your emergency contacts.
How to enable car crash detection feature on Pixel?
To enable this safety & emergency feature you need to follow some steps
- Open Safety app
- Tap on Features
- You’ll see car crash detection there
- Tap setup
- Follow the instructions
- Give all necessary location,Emergency contacts and microphone permissions
- Now car crash detection is enabled on your pixel
Pixels are tested some thousands of test crashes for this feature to work more accurately.
