New feature launched in Gboard which allows us to scan text and upload directly. This feature is found in the latest beta update. This allows copying and interesting text into any app instantly. It’s similar to google lens scan text. In Google lens we need to capture a photo and select text to copy it. It’s quite inconvenient to use it. The Gboad new feature made it easy. Now you can directly scan text and paste it directly in the app you are using. This feature is available on latest beta version 13.6.
How to Use Scan Text Feature in Gboard?
To use Scan Text Feature
- Navigate to any app where you can open Gboard
- On Gboard click on menu icon
- Now select Scan text
- Grant Camera permissions
- Point the camera towards the text you want to copy
- Click on shutter button
- Copy the text
- Tap Insert.
You can use this feature in many ways like creating a shopping list, scanning notes, Capturing business cards, sending text in chat directly and many more. There are some limitations for this feature too.
This feature is currently available only on Gboard Beta. You can join beta in Google Play Store.
