Whatsapp web or Whatsapp for desktop will lack some features that are already available on whatsapp for mobile. Chat Lock is introduced by whatsapp which allows us to lock individual chats and hide them from the main chats page. This feature is rolling out to Whatsapp web soon.
According to recent report from WABeta Info there is a chat lock icon in the sidebar tab. This gives us a glimpse of the upcoming feature.
The chat lock button gives access to all locked chats by user.
Lock Chats in Whatsapp Web
You can check the above screenshot the lock icon present on the sidebar. This indicates us that the feature will roll out very soon.
There is an option for hiding this tab with passkey.
Those who aren’t aware of individual chat lock in whatsapp let me explain, Lock individual chats feature helps us to lock chats and hide them in separate folder. This feature helps to hide personal chats.
This feature is still in development and will rollout to Whatsapp web and Whatsapp for Desktop very soon.
